At the end of every day, the system needs to be cleaned and disinfected.
We recommend performing all the following steps in order to ensure your device is cleaned correctly to keep your device in the best conditions for prolonged use and to minimize biosecurity risks.

-Please notice- From X.4.11 The Calibration is configured at Normal speed.

Prepare the following materials before you start the process:

  • Detergent: 0.5% Bromosept or equivalent solution based on Quaternary Ammonium compound (DDAB/DDAC)

*Warning! Do not use chlorine (such as bleach) to clean the system

The chlorine disintegrates the O-rings and causes rust in stainless steel parts*

  • Hot water (50°C-60°C / 122°F-140°F)

  • Alcohol: 70% alcohol or 70% Isopropyl

  • Mineral oil: Any petroleum-based clear mineral oil, with a viscosity of up to 50 cp (thinner is better). Paraffin oil can be used as well.

Follow the instructions below to perform the C&D process.

  • Step 1 - Preparing

  • Remove the Needle from the injection head.

     2. Put the Control Unit in the C&D Cradle and the Hand Unit in the Cradle Holster.

Devices in the C&D cradle

     3. Single system:
Connect the Control Unit's C&D Filter to the Vaccine Tube.

         Dual system:
Connect the Control Units Vaccine Tubes to the C&D Dual Cradle Adapter in the
V inlets and the Filter Pipe to the single Inlet.

     4. Navigate to the C&D Mode and click 'OK' to enable the process.

In a Dual system the display will look like this:

Step 2 - Cleaning

  1. Dip the Filter into a Canister filled with Detergent. Direct the Holster Pipe into a Sink. Make sure the sink is lower than the holster. If not, the liquid won't drain out.

     2. Run the 'Detergent' step. (60 sec)

     3. Connect the Filter to the Holster pipe.

     4. Run the 'Circulation' step. (240 sec)

     5. Disconnect the Holster Pipe from the Filter and direct it back to the Sink.
Dip the Filter into a new canister filled with Water.

     6. Run the 'Water' step. (100 sec)

     7. Dip the Filter into a new canister with 70% Alcohol.

     8. Run the 'Disinfection' step. (20 sec)

     9. Dip the Filter into a new canister with Mineral oil.

     10.  Run the 'Oil' step. (20 sec)

Step 3 - Concluding

     1. Return to the main screen of the Control Unit by clicking on Esc.
        Turn the system Off.

    2. Remove the Injection Head from the Hand Unit and the Spike from the Vaccine
Tube. Clean in detergent. Assemble back the Injection Head.
When cleaning a Dual System make sure you're using the Dual Injection Head.

     3. Clean the System's Surface with a clean cloth dipped with 70% Ethanol.
Wash the Vest in a Washing Machine.

Please note

  • When using a Dual system the cleaning and disinfection are done simultaneously.

  • We recommend performing the cleaning of the injector at the begging of the day before starting to use the device after a while.

Also, if you have any issues you should clean the injector:

Our cleaning procedure has been officially validated after passing lab tests and the TOC Test. You can find our testing results in the following documentation-
